Matthew J. Zahr is an assistant professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. From 2016-2018, he was the Luis W. Alvarez Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received a M.S. and Ph.D. in 2016 from Stanford University in Computational and Mathematical Engineering under the supervision of Charbel Farhat and a B.S. in 2011 from the University of California, Berkeley in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research expertise and interests lie in the design and application of numerical methods to solve important problems that arise in science, engineering, and medicine.

Tianci (Tenz) Huang is a graduate student in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame under the supervision of Matthew J. Zahr since Fall 2019. He obtained his B.S. in 2019 from Mississippi State University and his research interests lie in shape and topology optimization with adaptive reduced-order models and the implicit high-order shock tracking.

Tianshu Wen is a graduate student in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame under the supervision of Matthew J. Zahr. He received a M.S. in 2019 from Washington University in St. Louis under the supervision of Ramesh K. Agarwal and a B.S. in 2016 from Central Michigan University.




Charles Naudet

Charles is a graduate student in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Notre Dame in 2020. His research interests include PDE-constrained optimization, computational methods for resolving shocks and discontinuities, and uncertainty quantification. He also has a mean jumpshot. Catch him writing code or shooting hoops, either way, he’s in the lab.

Victor Zucatti is a graduate student in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame since fall 2021. He received a M.S. from University of Campinas (Brazil) in 2021, a M.S. from Ecole Centrale Marseille (France) in 2019 and a B.S. from University of Campinas in 2018. He is interested in reduced-order modeling of time-dependent nonlinear dynamical systems.

Aaron Marques is a graduate student in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame since Spring 2023. He received a M.S. from Federal University of Ceará (Brazil) in 2022. His research interests include in high-order implicit shock tracking and PDE-constrained optimization.
